An 18 year old man (boy?) was killed yesterday in Rome after he jumped from a roof of an empty factory building to another roof and fell through the second roof.
Now, I realize that this is a tragedy. It's very sad for everyone connected with this young man. However, I don't understand why this happened. It didn't have to. There WAS a No Trespassing sign posted on the property. He had no business - no right to be in or on that building. People these days just don't get it. They don't believe "Don't" applies to them. If it's forbidden, they must take that to mean - do it. What a waste.

There was a picture on either the WKTV or OD site of the roof. It was those translucent fibreglass panels like one would use on a patio roof. What moron would even imagine that it would hold the weight of a full sized person jumping from any sort of height? Sad and tragic, but how stupid!
I bet there was an "Oh Shit!!!" That could be heard all over East Rome when his first foot went through the fibreglass.
Yeah. It's just another case of "WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?????" Whatever happened to common sense? That reminds me.....Kim send me something a couple of years ago about common sense. I've got to find it and post it.
I meant sent, not send. Too hot here to think!
